Legal Notice

Version 1.0 • Last updated 21 September 2026

1. Service identification

HIA – Handball in Analysis is a digital handball analysis service provided by Willian Ferrari, Portugal. General, legal and support enquiries may be sent to handballinanalysis@gmail.com.

2. Purpose of this notice

This Legal Notice provides information concerning ownership and permitted use of the HIA website, application, brand, software, analytical materials and other proprietary elements. It supplements the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and other applicable HIA legal documents.

3. HIA brand

The HIA – Handball in Analysis name, logos, visual identity, distinctive signs and associated branding may not be copied, altered, registered, presented as belonging to another party or used in a manner that falsely suggests sponsorship, affiliation, endorsement or authorisation without prior permission, except where use is permitted by applicable law.

4. Website, application and software

The HIA website and application, including their original source and object code, software architecture, database structures, navigation, interface elements, documentation, original text, graphics, charts, layouts and report designs, are owned by HIA or used under appropriate authorisation. Access to the service does not transfer ownership of those elements to the user.

5. HIA Process and proprietary analytical methods

The HIA Process and related proprietary analytical framework, including its structure, contextual evaluation methodology, weighting logic, configuration concepts, relationships between offensive and defensive actions, analytical presentation methods, scoring or evaluation concepts and associated know-how, remain proprietary to HIA to the extent protected by intellectual property, database, trade-secret, confidential-information, unfair-competition or other applicable law.

6. User and customer data

HIA does not claim ownership merely by reason of processing over match data, team data, player information or other content lawfully owned or controlled by users or their organisations. Rights in user content remain with the relevant rights holder, subject to the limited processing rights necessary for HIA to provide, secure, support and maintain the service as described in the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

7. Restrictions on reproduction and extraction

Except where expressly authorised or permitted by mandatory law, users and third parties may not reproduce substantial protected parts of HIA; systematically extract or scrape protected content or databases; copy report structures, proprietary analytical materials or interface elements for commercial exploitation; circumvent technical protection measures; or use HIA materials to create a misleading imitation of the service.

8. Reverse engineering and competing implementations

To the extent permitted by applicable law, access to HIA does not authorise reverse engineering, decompilation, disassembly or systematic analysis intended to reconstruct protected source code, proprietary implementation details or confidential analytical methods. Nothing in this notice restricts rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory statutory interoperability rights where applicable.

9. Reports and permitted professional use

Authorised users may use reports, statistics and visual outputs generated from their own lawful data for ordinary coaching, sporting, internal club, presentation and professional analysis purposes consistent with their subscription and the Terms of Use. Such use does not transfer ownership of HIA’s underlying software, templates, proprietary methods or branding, and HIA attribution or proprietary notices must not be removed where they form part of the generated material.

10. Third-party rights

Names, trademarks, logos, competition marks, photographs or other materials belonging to third parties remain the property of their respective rights holders. Their appearance in lawful editorial, analytical or user-provided contexts does not imply that HIA owns those rights or is endorsed by the relevant third party.

11. Automated access and security

Automated access that materially interferes with HIA, bypasses technical controls, attempts unauthorised extraction, probes protected systems or creates an unreasonable load on the service is prohibited. Legitimate search-engine indexing and other authorised automated access may be permitted subject to applicable technical controls and law.

12. Reporting infringement or misuse

If you believe that HIA content infringes your rights, or that HIA intellectual property or branding is being used without authorisation, please contact handballinanalysis@gmail.com with sufficient information to identify the material and explain the concern.

13. Applicable framework

This notice is interpreted together with applicable Portuguese and European Union law and the HIA Terms of Use. Nothing in this notice excludes mandatory rights or limitations and exceptions provided by applicable law.
